The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Agriculture and Soil Department, a unit of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited applications for a free online workshop on remote sensing-based data analytics in agriculture.
The one-day workshop aims at familiarising agricultural researchers and administrators with the application of geospatial technology and agricultural analytics in crop and soil management.
The workshop will cover a wide range of topics including geospatial data analytics in agriculture, machine learning in remote sensing for agriculture, predictive soil mapping, modelling soil erosion, advanced analytics in microwave remote sensing, and geospatial crop water analytics.
Things to know:
- There is no registration fee.
- The duration of the course will be one day consisting of lectures and demonstration exercises covering a broad overview on current global and Indian sensors, data-analytics in agriculture including soil resources.
- There are a limited number of seats. Registration will be done on a first come first serve basis.
- An e-certificate will issued to the participants.
How to apply:
- Registration has to be done online.
- To participate in this programme, interested organisations, universities, departments, and institutes have to identify a coordinator at their end.
- The identified coordinator will have to register his/her institute as a nodal centre on the IIRS website.
- All participants have to register online through a registration page by selecting their organisation as nodal centre here.
